Celebrate the United Nations holiday of International Peace Day, plus the 40th anniversary of 1968, at Moonlady Fest with a Songwriters’ Peace Picnic, informational Peace Zone, and participatory Peace Altar and Drums for Peace Circle.

Debuting this year is the New Thought/Ancient Traditions Fair, featuring the best practictioners in metaphysical thought, holistic health and more, plus angel raffle and a knowledge table with all kinds of information. Highlighting the fair is The Seer Show with a metaphysical comedian and after-life medium.

Henna tattoos, jewelry for sale and a vegetarian café liven the lobby action. Harp concerts take place in the art gallery. Outside is a yoga class on the lakeshore, an herbal smudging demonstration and an Autumn Equinox ceremony.

Moonlady Fest is inspired by the Moonlady News listserve http://www.moonlady.com/indexnews.html/, joining over 2750 people in community. Moonlady News covers holistic health, eclectic entertainment, personal growth, eco-activism, alternative spirituality, progressive causes, and nature events in North Texas.

Would appreciate people from all paths to share knowledge with others in group. Newcomers who are interested in learning about different paths are more than welcome to attend.
Basically what we do is provide a place (our home) for people in and around the Arlington area to get together, meet others, plan some activities with like-minded people and pretty much help one another on our paths. We're not looking to start a new tradition and in fact would prefer to be a springboard of sorts to the other traditions that are already out there. One of the things we visualize is that newcomers who are interested in the various facets of Pagan beliefs might come to us and say, well, I am interested in learning more about ancient Celtic beliefs, or I want to learn more about Norse, Greek, Egyptian, etc. beliefs. We can then put them in touch with others we know of who are on such paths that might accept them as new members and help them on their way.
We also try to provide a family friendly atmosphere. Having small children ourselves and a backyard to play in we think giving the little ones a chance to make new friends is a major plus. But we do ask parents to please be responsible for your kids and clean up after them or have them clean up their own messes.
We get together at our home (or the home of another member if one chooses to host a meeting) two Saturdays each month from 6PM til about 9PM (give or take). Drinks and snacks are provided but bringing more to share is always greatly appreciated as well. Sometimes we also plan outings and fieldtrips, campouts, etc. for group members to take part in.

Kim Bold (http://www.kimbold.com/) is a musician, author, and teacher began playing the Native American flute almost six years ago, and also performs on pennywhistle, ocarina, Chinese bawu, and clarinet. Her book and cd, Gaia Calling, reflects her soul's path through animal symbology. She conducts workshops to teach others how to play the native flute and create the music of their soul through their own animal medicine stories
African Refugee Choir of Dallas, under the direction of Lucy Mashua (lucy_mashua@ hotmail.com) of Kenya, have been hailed as “powerful, thought-provoking and uplifting” for impassioned performances of music from their homeland, as well as new compositions by Mashua. They raise awareness about the growing number of refugees from war torn African countries who immigrate to Dallas and the challenges they face. The choir will be joined by David Howard in a performance of “Comfort’s Sigh.”

Where: Spiritual Fitness Center at 1237 Executive Drive East Richardson, TX 75081

When: 7pm to 9pm (Ritual will be from 7:30pm to 8pm)

Event Details: We invite people from all traditions - or no tradition at all - to join us as we celebrate the full moons of 2008 with our public Esbat (full moon) rituals. We will learn and worship from an agricultural interpretation of the Wheel of the Year. Beginning with the spiritual planning and intent for the year, to the planting, tending and harvesting of the crop. You do not need to have attended any previous Esbats; you are welcome to attend all or just one or two.

The January 19th Ritual will be our first public ritual and will focus on developing a spiritual intent for the coming year and be a dedication ritual.

Directions:
From 75/Central Expressway, go East approximately 7/10 of a mile on Arapaho. Executive Drive is just past the light at Bowser, on your left. Turn left on Executive, go to the next corner, turn right, then left and look to your left. It is located in the Corporate Square complex on the north side of Arapaho Road.

Class Description:: Welcome seekers and the curious. A little information about these classes: These classes are intended to provide a better understanding of Paganism. We will be covering the basics of several subjects. All are welcome! Classes are held in a discussion format so feel free to speak up. You might want to bring something to take notes.
Ethics and Vocabulary: We will discuss ethics and what you find may surprise you. We will also talk about the most commonly known and used words.
History Part I: We’ll talk about the “before times”. Before writing, before computers and before organized religion. We’ll move all the way up until the point where Paganism “comes out of the closet” in America.
History Part II –: Paganism comes “out of the closet” and Wicca is born. We will talk about Paganism in America when it was still called the New Land. We’ll talk about the birth of Wicca and the status of religion presently.
